Berton ‘Alfresco’ Vermentino 2022, Riverland. Berton Vineyards was established in 1996 by Bob and Cherie Berton when they purchased a block of land in High Eden, a sub region of the Barossa Valley. After years of growth and partnerships they’ve expanded out of that region and into Riverland in south-eastern Australasia. Originally hailing from Italy, Vermentino in it’s Down Under iteration the grape shows gorgeous stone-fruit and citrus-zest notes with refreshing acidity. Just as tasty when enjoyed as a crisp aperitif as it is with fish and seafood dishes..
