It’s been crafted by winery Domaine Pardon, who have been working the land here since 1820 and are now in the seventh generation of family ownership. The elegant iris, violet and rose notes so typical of Fleurie wines really come through thanks to the vineyard location, about 350m above sea level on southeast-facing pink granite slopes. Smooth and with supple tannins, this is a Gamay to drink slightly chilled alongside pork roast, spice-crusted salmon or roasted vegetables..
