It is one of the oldest estates in the Côte de Beaune, with roots dating back to the French Revolution. Founded by Maurice Ecard, a pivotal figure in the appellation’s history, the 15-hectare estate offers a rich tapestry of Burgundy’s terroirs. It spans four Premier Crus, including the esteemed Aux Serpentières, located on hillsides at the beginning of Savigny. As with a lot of Burgundy’s terroir, limestone-rich soils shape the wine’s elegant character. Expect notes of strawberry and blackcurrant, complemented by hints of dried fruits and coffee from 15 months of oak ageing.
