“Le Petit Clos, D.O. Apalta, 2017”. Clos Apalta’s philosophy is as simple as it is ambitious: to express terroirs in the wines, capturing excellence, elegance and character. Everything started in 1994 when Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle and her husband Cyril de Bournet first arrived in Chile’s Colchagua Valley. They quickly realised its potential for producing world-class wines. This ideal setting was home to vines originating from pre-phylloxera rootstock brought over from Bordeaux in the middle of the 19th century – and even today their vines average 80 years old. The Cabernet and Carménère, with their high-quality phenols, give superb and succulent grapes. Discover aromas of blackcurrant, spice, sweet tobacco, lavender and rose. Full-bodied and polished with texture and finesse, followed by silky and well-integrated tannins. Enjoy with T-bone steak, game meats and roasted lamb..
